Experience a week of morning fun with the residents at these local senior communities!
(Recommended for ages 7+)

Session 1:
Every Tuesday, Sept 1st through Oct 6th
Time: 1:30-2:30pm

Session 2:
Every Thursday, Sept 17th through Oct 22th
Time: 1:30-3:00pm
Location: Friends Nursing Home (Sandy Spring, MD)

Participants are expected to attend every session, unless they are ill.

This program is offered at no cost to families.

For children ages 12 and under, a parent or guardian must be present for the entire session to ensure the safety of both the child and participating residents.
What is the Grandkid Investigator Program?
The GKI program helps children/teens and their families make meaningful connections and have fun with older adults in senior living communities!
What makes the Grandkid Investigator program unique is that we focus on offering structured, long term opportunities for intergenerational connection so that genuine intergenerational relationships can develop.
We use Grandkid Investigator missions (which can also be used to help kids/teens connect with grandparents and other older friends) at our program. Check out the kit HERE.
This is not only a meaningful interaction for senior living residents, but also for the youth and families involved.
